I was a quintessential high achiever, the kind who did everything right and did it well, long before I ever questioned what "right" actually meant. I spent 25 years inside the talent system, 12 as a recruiter and 13 in corporate HR, watching the most capable, most loyal women give everything to a system that kept raising the bar, and living it myself at the same time. "Underneath all of it were two beliefs. I'm not enough. And I'm not safe." I'm not enough is what made me overperform, the one who carried more, stayed later, proved it again every day. I'm not safe is what kept me small, too afraid to bet on myself and start the thing I actually wanted. I knew the way I was working wasn't sustainable. I'd known for years, and knowing changed nothing. You cannot out-willpower beliefs wired that deep. I'd tried. The fresh resolve, the new plan, the Monday I'd finally do it differently. It never held. What moved it wasn't more discipline. It was the beliefs themselves changing, through the subconscious work. When "I'm not enough" loosened, the overperformance I'd white-knuckled for years loosened with it. When "I'm not safe" loosened, I could finally move. In April 2026 I resigned from corporate, moved to a new city, and started the business I'd been too afraid to start for five years. I chose myself. I'm not here as someone who has it all figured out. I'm here as someone who walked the path and found the work that moved the needle, and that's what I bring to every woman I work with.
